2. Services

Expeditors Security Services provides professional security solutions including but not limited to:

All services are provided subject to separate service agreements which take precedence over these general terms.

3. Service Agreements

All security services require a signed Service Agreement outlining:

  • Scope of services
  • Service hours and schedule
  • Pricing and payment terms
  • Cancellation policies
  • Liability limitations

Clients must be 18 years or older and authorized to enter into binding contracts.

4. Licensing and Compliance

Expeditors Security Services operates under all applicable British Columbia security licensing requirements. All security personnel are licensed by the Security Programs and Police Technology Division of BC and undergo criminal record checks.

5. Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about their security needs
  • Grant necessary access to premises for security personnel
  • Notify us immediately of any changes to access codes, keys, or site conditions
  • Cooperate with security officers in the performance of their duties
  • Pay invoices according to agreed payment terms

6. Payment Terms

  • Invoices are issued monthly or as specified in your Service Agreement
  • Payment is due within 15 days of invoice date unless otherwise agreed
  • Late payments may incur interest charges of 2% per month
  • Services may be suspended for accounts more than 30 days overdue

7. Cancellation Policy

  • Clients must provide 30 days written notice to cancel ongoing security services
  • Cancellation fees may apply as specified in your Service Agreement
  • No refunds for services already rendered
  • Emergency or temporary services require 24 hours notice for cancellation

8. Limitation of Liability

While we strive to provide the highest quality security services, Expeditors Security Services shall not be liable for:

  • Losses occurring despite reasonable security measures
  • Acts of nature, civil unrest, or events beyond our control
  • Losses resulting from client’s failure to follow security recommendations
  • Indirect, consequential, or punitive damages

Our maximum liability under any Service Agreement shall not exceed the total fees paid by the client in the preceding 12 months.

9. Insurance

Expeditors Security Services maintains comprehensive general liability insurance and workers’ compensation coverage as required by law. Clients are responsible for their own property insurance.

10. Confidentiality

We maintain strict confidentiality regarding:

  • Client security arrangements
  • Site-specific vulnerabilities
  • Access codes and procedures
  • Incident reports (except as required by law)

11. Incident Reporting

All security incidents are documented and reported to clients according to agreed protocols. Clients acknowledge that certain incidents may require notification to police or other authorities.

12. Equipment and Technology

Any security equipment provided by us remains our property. Clients are responsible for damage to equipment caused by negligence or misuse.

13. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on our website with an updated “Last Updated” date. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of modified terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.
